Nicolas Batum officially signs deal with Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to a deal with forward Nicolas Batum, who successfully cleared waivers earlier this week once Charlotte waived him as part of the NBA's stretch provision after signing Gordon Hayward. (Shams Charania via Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The soon-to-be 32-year-old French forward has battled injuries and ineffectiveness the past two seasons in Charlotte but has always been a fantasy-friendly player due to his versatility and ability to fill up the box score, especially in regards to assists and defensive stats. His best days are clearly behind him after 12 seasons but if given 25+ minutes on a nightly basis for a veteran Clippers squad, it's not unreasonable to think he could carve out some low-end fantasy value. It's a situation worth keeping an eye on during the abbreviated preseason to see what type of role he has in Los Angeles.
