Christian Wood will likely be used as "another playmaker on the floor, like a secondary ball handler," in Houston per beat writer Alykhan Bijani. (Alykhan Bijani on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The genesis of the quote stemmed from an interview Bijani had with Rockets head coach Stephen Silas about the possibilities of the newly-acquired DeMarcus Cousins and Wood playing together. Bijani mentioned that he was "reading between the lines" when he said the team viewed Wood as a playmaker and secondary ball handler but also noted that Silas said Cousins and Wood "can play together because of spacing and versatility." The sharper minds in the fantasy community are extremely bullish on Wood this season, and for good reason, as he averaged 22.9 points and 9.2 boards per game in Detroit following the Andre Drummond trade last season. These latest comments only strengthen the argument for Wood to continue his rise in ADP. Remarkably, he's still undervalued in some fantasy circles but the hype is surely, albeit slowly, starting to build.
