LaMelo Ball notches first career triple-double in Saturday's win over Hawks

by Matthew MacKay | Hornets Correspondent | Sun, Jan 10th 10:12am EST

LaMelo Ball scored 22 points (9-13 FG, 3-5 3PT, 1-2 FT) with 12 rebounds, 11 assists and a steal across 31 minutes in a 113-105 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Ball came up one assist short of a triple-double in Friday's prime-time win against brother Lonzo Ball and the New Orleans Pelicans before achieving it against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. The rookie has been outperforming starting point guard Devonte' Graham in points scored and is matching him for minutes, eclipsing 30 minutes on Saturday night against the Hawks while shooting 9-of-13 from the field and showcasing his elite passing ability. LaMelo and the Hornets have now rattled off three consecutive wins and will look for their fourth against the Knicks on Monday.
