Austin Rivers pours in 13 points in starting role

Austin Rivers registered 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-9 3PT) four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 38 minutes in Monday's 109-88 loss to the Hornets.

Rivers joined the Knicks starting five when Reggie Bullock (hip) was ruled out for Monday's contest against the Hornets. He logged a season-high 38 minutes and has now scored double figures in three of his last four games. Rivers is averaging 12.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.6 triples across 28.0 minutes in 2020-21. The 28-year-old signed a three-year deal with the Knicks this offseason and figures to have a prominent role in the rotation. Rivers will look to keep up his strong play when the Knicks host the Hornets on Wednesday.
