LaMelo Ball scored 11 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3PT, 1-2 FT) with five rebounds and four assists across 23 minutes off the bench in a 116-113 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.
The rookie point guard had a quiet night against the Raptors, posting a 33.3% FG while securing five rebounds and four assists off the bench in a closely contested loss on Saturday. At one point it looked like Ball's play was outperforming starting point guard Devonte' Graham but over the last few games, Graham has elevated his offensive performances to keep Ball with the second unit. Despite playing less than 30 minutes in three straight games, the rookie is rostered in 97% of ESPN leagues and will still return value in starting lineups for most fantasy formats. The Hornets will get three days of rest before their next game at home against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
