Nikola Jokic double-doubles with 27/12/6 in blowout win over Thunder

by Lucas Spence | Nuggets Correspondent | Tue, Jan 19th 11:33pm EST

Nikola Jokic was up to his usual MVP tricks on Tuesday night, posting his 14th consecutive double-double of the season while scoring 27 points (12-21 FG, 0-4 3-pt, 3-3 FT) to go along with 12 rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block, and one turnover in 28 minutes during a 119-101 blowout win over Oklahoma City.

Fantasy Impact:

In a season where no true MVP candidate has yet to emerge in the NBA, Jokic would likely be the frontrunner if the Nuggets had a better record (7-7 after tonight's win). Interesting note - Jokic has only had two games this season where he shot under 50% from the field. He's been nothing short of sensational through the early part of the season and will look to keep it going this weekend on Friday and Saturday in a back-to-back set against Deandre Ayton and the Suns.
