Kyrie Irving pours in season-high 37 points in first game action in 2 weeks

Kyrie Irving scored a season-high 37 points on 15-of-28 shooting, with two rebounds, three assists, one steal, three blocks, and four turnovers across 48 minutes in a 147-135 double overtime loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Irving didn’t skip a beat after being out the last two weeks due to health and safety protocols. With James Harden handling the ball for Brooklyn, Irving was aggressive in looking for his shot, putting up a season-high in points (37) on a season-high in shot attempts (28). The defensive stats were an added bonus for Irving managers as well (one steal and three blocks). His assist numbers may take a hit with Harden in town, but his scoring numbers likely will not if Wednesday night’s game is any indication. Look for Irving and the Nets to bounce back in a big way against the Cavaliers on Friday night.
