Minnesota Timberwolves G D’Angelo Russell will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on his left knee and is expected to be sidelined four-to-six weeks, sources tell ESPN. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This a major blow for fantasy managers and Minnesota fans. Russell has missed four of the last five games with a knee issue and he’ll have surgery to repair the loose bodies in his left knee. News of Russell’s absence should propel rookie Anthony Edwards into the starting lineup and expect Ricky Rubio to see an uptick in minutes as well. Malik Beasley is and Karl-Anthony Towns remain the top scoring threats for the Timberwolves with Russell out of the lineup.
