DeMarcus Cousins being released by the Rockets

Fantasy Impact:
Cousins was openly displeased with his role on the team, especially since Christian Wood went down with an ankle injury. The Rockets have thus granted him his wish and released him, making Cousins a free agent on the open market. Look for a contending team like the Lakers to give Boogie a hard look. In the meantime, the Rockets will continue to play small ball with Wood out of the lineup. David Nwaba and Jae’Sean Tate will soak up a lot of the minutes at the forward and center positions for the time being and are both worthy of being rostered in 12-team leagues.
