Gordon Hayward registers 12 points, dishes five assists in loss to Warriors

Gordon Hayward registered 12 points (4-10 FG, 3-3 3PT, 1-2 FT) with two rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two turnovers across 34 minutes in Friday's 130-121 loss against the Golden State Warriors.

Fantasy Impact:

Hayward has cooled off considerably from his hot-start earlier in the season, taking on more of a secondary role to the Hornets' backcourt comprised of Terry Rozier, LaMelo Ball, and Malik Monk. As it stands, fantasy managers should continue rostering Hayward in season formats but he might not be worth the high price he continues to be listed at in DFS contests. Hayward is still averaging 16.5 points across 32 minutes in his last week of action, so he remains a viable SF option. However, there are cheaper players with higher ceilings available elsewhere to construct a winning DFS lineup. The Hornets will get a day off before continuing their West Coast road trip against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.
