Jalen Brunson provided 24 points (9-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT) with six rebounds, three assists, and one steal over 29 minutes as the Mavs took down the Magic 130-124 on Monday.
Brunson has been excellent over the last 13 games for the Mavericks, scoring in the double figures in all but two contests. Monday's 24-point explosion was his second highest point total of the season. Over the month of February (12 games), the 24-year-old averaged 25.3 minutes, 13.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 0.6 steals while shooting 54.1-percent from the field and 40.9-percent from three. Those numbers certainly play in standard category leagues. He's worth a roster spot if you're thin at the guard position.
