Luke Kennard goes for a season-best 28 points in win

by Jon Mathisen | Grizzlies Correspondent | Thu, Apr 22nd 1:43am EDT

Luke Kennard scored 28 points (10-16 FG, 6-7 3PT, 2-3 FT) with seven rebounds, two assists, and one block over 38 minutes as the Clippers took down the Grizzlies 117-105 on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

The Clippers were missing Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Reggie Jackson, and Rajon Rondo on Wednesday. The patchwork lineup struggled in the first half vs. Memphis, going down by as much as 17 points. But they rallied to come back and win by 12, thanks in large part to Kennard's season-high 28 points. His six-made three-pointers were also a season-best. The 24-year-old can shoot with the best of them when he gets the opportunities but he rarely gets the chance to put up 16 shot attempts. The Clippers are on a roll, having won 10-of-11 games while getting their key reserves such as Kennard and Terance Mann some crucial experience down the stretch.
