Frank Jackson has a weak scoring night in win over the Grizzlies

by Joel E. Ruffin Jr. | Fri, May 7th 2:40pm EDT

Frank Jackson totaled 11 points (3-6 FG, 1-1 3PT, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 32 minutes in the Pistons' 111-97 win over the Grizzlies on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Jackson had a weak scoring night in the Pistons' win over the Grizzlies, as he put up 11.0 points after averaging 19.2 points per game across his previous five contests. After performing well as an off-the-bench asset, his production in his spot start was underwhelming. In April, he successfully found consistency and a role within the team's rotation, albeit off the bench, and produced at a respectable level. However, with his value being significantly dependent on scoring, nights like these can nullify any potential upside that one may hope to obtain in rostering him for their fantasy lineups. Jackson has done enough to warrant some consideration as a promising flier but shouldn't be forced into play outside of small slates, or stars-and-scrubs team builds.
