Norman Powell totaled 29 points (11-15 FG, 4-4 3PT, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and one steal in the Trailblazers’ 115-95 win over the Trailblazers on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Powell dropped 29.0 points in the Trailblazers’ win over the Nuggets, putting up an incredibly on-time scoring clinic to help the team reclaim some of the momenta in this series. This game could be the best time to invest in Powell, as he has improved in his scoring and contribution to several performance categories of the stat-sheet. It could also be the best time to invest in Powell because of his regular-season trend of improving his scoring output in every back-to-back game played against the same team. Powell could be in store for an even bigger scoring performance if we accept the possibility that he gets even better the more he competes against the same opponent. Just something to think about, ultimately this was a great game, and although he has been able to "stuff" the stat-sheet for his second consecutive contest his value can still be volatile and limited due to the overleveraging of scoring as a means to produce strong fantasy outings.
