Damian Lillard scores ten points in win over the Nuggets

Damian Lillard totaled ten points (1-10 FG, 1-6 3PT, 7-7 FT), eight rebounds, ten assists, and one steal in the Trailblazers’ 115-95 win over the Trailblazers on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Lillard scored 10.0 points in the Trailblazers’ win over the Nuggets, making it his worst scoring performance since the team’s bout against the Jazz on December 23rd. It was almost as if the basketball "gods" granted Lillard a pass for one game to allow the rest of the team to step up and capture a key victory in a series that was shaping up to be a quick exit for the Trailblazers. He did contribute 10.0 assists and collected 8.0 rebounds in a true support-driven effort that surprisingly led to a victory. Overall, if you invested in Dame for this one, you are mildly salty from this performance given the amount of spend you invested in him for your lineup. However, you can find solace in knowing that this inevitable scoring “crash” is out of the way and that Lillard will more than likely get back to his high-scoring self fairly quickly, especially in light of what could be a blockbuster Game Five. He remains a must-start fantasy play in this series; however, know that this game can go one or two ways for Lillard, it can go up, it can go down…either way, be sure to be prepared should he put up another high-floor effort.
