Damian Lillard has 55 points in 52 minutes in loss to the Nuggets

Damian Lillard totaled 55 points (17-24 FG, 12-17 3PT, 9-10 FT), six rebounds, ten assists, one steal, and three blocks in the Trailblazers' 147-140 loss to the Nuggets on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Lillard had 55.0 points in 52.0 minutes in the Trailblazers' loss to the Nuggets, making this not only his best performance in the series but perhaps the greatest shooting performance in post-season history, as he became the first player ever to make 12.0 threes in a playoff game. This man incredibly fought for his team's success, keeping their chances alive to pull off an incredible win by draining two consecutive clutch threes that led to a double-overtime battle that unfortunately ended in their defeat. Usually, it would be logical to think that a performance like this would be followed by a lesser regressed effort as an encore, but in this case, that may not be the correct conclusion to make. The series heads back to Portland, where the Trailblazers will look to stifle the Nuggets' plan of dealing the knock-out punch to the team's playoff campaign, and it is here where Lillard will more than likely lay everything on the line for his team and city. His energy, along with the energy from a passionate Portland crowd, could be the recipe for another incredible night of basketball that could lead to an electric Game Seven. Even if Lillard's performance doesn’t result in a ridiculous 88.00-90.0 point fantasy outburst, he has a chance to be once again the best player on the court and the slate.
