Anthony Davis totaled zero points, one rebound, and one assist in the Lakers’ 113-100 loss to the Suns on Thursday.
Davis scored 0.0 points in the Suns’ series finale loss to the Suns ending the series having averaged 28.6 minutes, 17.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 0.6 steals per game while shooting 30.0 percent from the floor and 10.0 percent from beyond the arc. It was a string of unfortunate events that led to the Lakers’ early playoff exit, with the biggest being the injury and loss of Davis. He came out and attempted to play, and even though it was an immediate no-go he was still able to contribute more in his 5.0 minutes then some players did the entire series. The Lakers seem to have some potential to be a sustainable threat in the "new" west, however, it appears that they will need to first address the glaring gaps in their “arsenal,” if they hope to become so.
