Golden State Warriors C Kevon Looney is reportedly exercising the $5.1 million option in his contract to return with the team for the 2021-22 season, per Adrian Wojnarowski. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Looney averaged 5.3 rebounds and 4.1 points across 19 minutes per game this season, maintaining much better health and appearing in 61 games compared to an injury-riddled 2019 season. Draymond Green and Kelly Oubre Jr. often earned the most minutes in the Warriors' small-ball front-court this past season but Looney's return ensures a solid 6'9 presence in the paint for when All-Star Klay Thompson returns from injury.
