Monty Williams fired as Pelicans head coach

Monty Williams was fired Tuesday after a season that saw the Pelicans get eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It sounds as though Williams was regarded highly by his players and ownership, just not enough to keep his job. Anthony Davis grew into a superstar under Williams, but will now need to continue growing under a new coach. Much like the Kevin Durant and Scott Brooks situation, it is not likely to have any affect on Davis' fantasy outlook next season as he should dominate regardless of the coach.
