DeAndre Ayton double-doubles in win over the Pistons

DeAndre Ayton totaled 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-7 FT), twelve rebounds, two assists, and one steal in the Suns’ 114-103 win over the Pistons on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Ayton double-doubled in the Suns’ win over the Pistons, making it his second straight game achieving the feat. He is playing well, and with Devin Booker on the sidelines will need to elevate his game by leveraging his scoring ability to maintain the Suns' offensive floor. Despite his impressive contributions to the team, he could be frustrating to roster from a fantasy perspective. He has a high floor and a high ceiling; however, it is hard to determine which version of Ayton you will be getting night-in and night-out. His floor may not be high enough to win GPPs given his price point, and he doesn't hit his ceiling often enough to justify investing in him to maximize your team's upside. Be sure to consider targeting high-upside players when rostering Ayton in hopes of offsetting a lukewarm performance. His outlook, however, could change for the better at any time this year, as we must remember what he is capable of when hitting his stride.
