Cody Martin totaled nine points (3-11 FG, 1-3 FT, 2-5 3PT), grabbed seven rebounds, four assists, one block, and turned the ball over once in the Hornets’ 97-87 win over the Knicks on Monday.
Martin took the start on Monday in the absence of LaMelo Ball and led the Hornets in court-time, playing 46 total minutes. Despite the minutes, he only scored nine points but did contribute to multiple categories by grabbing seven rebounds, four assists, and one block. Martin is now averaging 8.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He should return to the bench when LaMelo is back in the lineup.
