Paul George could opt for surgery, miss rest of season

by Nate Lowenthal | Clippers Correspondent | Tue, Jan 25th 1:31pm EST

Paul George has not progressed the way the team has hoped after tearing his UCL in his right elbow. George and the Clippers are discussing what to do from here, but surgery is becoming a possibility. Surgery would almost guarantee he would not see the court again this season. (Bleacher Report)

Fantasy Impact:

PG has not played since injuring himself against the Kings in late December. The Clippers star has been great when active, but he has struggled to stay on the court this season. The Clippers remain in the playoff hunt and are sitting in a play-in spot currently, but with Kawhi Leonard already expected to miss this season, it would not surprise me to see the Clippers take a precautious approach with George. With Paul George out, I would expect Reggie Jackson to lead the way for the Clips in scoring, while Marcus Morris and Terrance Mann should take the forward minutes. Jackson should be picked up in most leagues, while Morris and Mann could be worth a speculative add in deeper leagues.
