According to Shams Charania on Twitter, there is optimism that Mavericks star Luka Doncic could return from his calf injury for Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs. (Shams Charania on Twitter)

After suffering a calf injury during the final game of the regular season, Doncic has missed the last two games of the playoffs against the Jazz. The Mavericks have gone 1-1 with him out of the lineup so far thanks to Jalen Brunson going for 41 points in game two. The typical timeline for a calf injury is about 16 days which would put Luka's return at game five. If he suits up, expect fewer minutes for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans.
