After struggling throughout the first round of the playoffs en route to a 4-2 series loss to the Grizzlies, the Timberwolves have been rumored to have interest in moving on from Russell this offseason. During the 2022 playoffs, the veteran guard averaged 12.0 points, 6.7 assists, and 2.5 rebounds across his six games. Entering this offseason, Russell has one-year left on his deal worth $31.3 million, he remains eligible and is expected to sign a max contract.
