The Memphis Grizzles have announced that Ja Morant is doubtful for the remainder of the playoffs as reported by ESPN. (ESPN on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Ja Morant suffered a bone bruise in his right knee and is likely done for the remainder of the season. The Grizzlies maintain the injury was the result of a hard swipe by Golden State’s Jordan Poole in Game 3 but there is some skepticism and confusion surrounding when Morant actually suffered the injury. Morant appears to be looking at a multi-week recovery timetable so it would likely take a Finals run by Memphis for him to be able to return this season. If Memphis loses Game 5 on Wednesday, the team’s season is over anyways. Tyus Jones will likely continue to start with Morant sidelined.
