James Harden inks two year deal with Sixers

by Garrett Ball | Clippers Correspondent | Fri, Jul 8th 3:56pm EDT

James Harden will be taking a $15 million pay cut on a team friendly deal with Philadelphia. Harden has a player option in year two and the pay cut it to provide the team resources to improve the Sixers roster. (Shams Charania via Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Philadelphia spent a massive amount to trade for Harden, who did not deliver has hoped. The time for the Sixers (and Harden himself) to win a title is growing short, so Harden has taken a pay cut to make it happen. He’ll be a focal point on the team next season, and while he’ll be useful for fantasy, it’s doubtful he returns to fantasy dominance as in years past.
