Dean Wade has signed a 3-year, $18.5 million extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers. This keeps him in Cleveland for the next four years. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

Wade has been a solid role player for the Cavs the past two seasons, starting 47 games and averaging 3.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 5.6 points per game over that same time span. There’s a chance he’ll have a chance to start as Cleveland’s second forward, but likely he’ll play behind Isaiah Okoro. Starting job or not, he’s locked into the Cavs for the long term and will be a valuable rotation piece. Fantasy managers should watch his progress as the offseason winds down in case he projects to garner more playing time.
