James Harden dishes five assists in 19 minutes Wednesday

James Harden scored nine points (3-9 FG, 1-3 3P, 2-2 FT) with five assists and one rebound across 19 minutes in Philadelphia’s 113-112 preseason win against the Cavaliers on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Harden is coming off a 2021-22 season that saw him post his lowest scoring average in a decade since his days in Oklahoma City. That being said, Harden still averaged 22 points to go along with 10.3 assists, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals for a productive fantasy season, just not one fantasy managers have grown accustomed to from the 33-year-old. His scoring dip was the product of his poor shooting percentages (41% from the field, 33% from deep) last season. Harden will play this season as one of four Top-100 players on the Sixers making him poised for a bounce-back season on a loaded squad and worthy of a late-first-round pick. If you are picking in the second round and he is still on the board, it would be hard to pass on Harden.
