D’Angelo Russell totaled 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3PT, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, ten assists, and one steal in the Lakers’ 133-110 loss to the Thunder.

Fantasy Impact:

Russell double-doubled in the Lakers’ loss to the Thunder, scoring 16.0 points and 10.0 assists. Although I did foresee a regression in his performance against a more competitive Thunder team, his output in this game was still impressive, demonstrating the quality upside he can tap into any night. Yes, he is still a streaky player; however, he has created a healthy production floor with his multi-categorical contribution. Russell will look to keep up his hot streak against a scrappy Rockets squad that should be able to challenge the sustainability of his production. He is a must-start asset in most season-long leagues, especially for managers looking to build a higher level of utility in their rotations. Russell’s price point and upside keep him in the picture as a viable option in daily formats. He has a usage rate of 22.3 percent, a plus-minus 1.9, and is averaging 31.1 minutes, 17.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game while shooting 49.1 percent from the floor and 41.8 percent from beyond the arc.
