Anthony Davis misses second half to injury

by George Haw | Lakers Correspondent | Wed, Nov 11th 8:46am EST

Only able to play the first half of the Monday night Dallas game, Davis recorded 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and one turnover in 19 minutes. He shot 8-of-14 from the field, 0-of-1 from three, and 1-of-4 from the stripe. Davis' injury is listed at a bruised right hip, but according to an NBA source not named, "early indications are the injury is not too serious." (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

The Pelicans finally got their first win, and it came at the expense of their most valuable player. Coach Alvin Gentry should have been relieved to finally get his first win as head coach, but it just seems to be one of those starts for New Orleans. There isn't much official news on Davis' injury, but so far it doesn't seem to be too severe. More updates will come as more news is available. If there's any silver lining, it's that a single half for the "Brow" is equal to that of a full game for mere mortals, so at least he didn't leave owners completely high and dry.
