Ja'Kobe Walter scores season-high 17 points in loss

Ja'Kobe Walter finally capitalized on his recent opportunities during Thursday's loss to the Lakers, delivering his best offensive showing of the season. The second-year guard tallied a season-high 17 points on efficient 6-of-10 shooting, knocking down three triples while contributing three rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

Fantasy Impact:

This outburst was a welcome change of pace for Walter, who had struggled to produce despite starting four of the Raptors' previous five games in place of the injured RJ Barrett. During that span, he averaged just 6.6 points on 36.4 percent shooting, with his lone double-digit scoring game coming as a reserve. While Thursday's effort was a step forward, he needs to string together similar performances to become a reliable fantasy option.
