Anthony Davis with big game in win against Cleveland

by George Haw | Lakers Correspondent | Sat, Dec 5th 5:46pm EST

Davis scored 31 points (13-of-22 from the field, 3-of-6 from the line, 2-of-4 from three) to go with 12 rebounds, one assist, one block, four steals and one turnover in 46 minutes in New Orleans' overtime win against the Cavaliers on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Since returning from a brief shoulder injury, Davis is averaging, over eight games, 26 points (50.7 percent from the field and 75 percent from the line), 13.8 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 1.8 steals in 38.9 minutes. He did have another minor injury (rolled ankle) during the Cleveland game, but it seem to bother the big man much, as he quickly returned and played through the overtime, ensuring the Pelicans' fifth win this season. Despite the lineup changes coach Alvin Gentry has been making recently, Davis continues to play at a high level and should continue to do so, regardless of his supporting cast.
