Derrick Rose scores nine points in second half to lock up Thursday's win

Derrick Rose did not have a good night shooting. All of that seemed to change when he took off his orbital fracture mask in the second half. He was more aggressive and made many key shots. He finished with 11 points, but nine of those points were scored in the second half. He was 5-11 from the floor. He also finished with three rebounds, two assists, a steal and three turnovers as the Bulls held off the Clippers 83-80.

Fantasy Impact:

Rose has not been scoring much this year. His numbers are down and he is not attacking the basket enough. Tonight was a good sign. It will be interesting to see if the mask played a part in it, but more likely it has to do with confidence. As Rose continues to play this year, his numbers should improve. The problem with Rose has always been his injury concern. He is still a top 100 player in the NBA and should be starting on most rosters. He can make for an interesting flyer in DFS at times too.
