Anthony Davis scores 23 in Pelicans' loss to Grizzlies

In his second game back since sitting out Thursday (concussion), Davis managed 23 points (10-of-20 FG, 1-of-2 3PT, 2-of-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal and one three-pointer in 37 minutes Monday against Memphis. He saw a minor drop in production in January due to multiple injuries, however, neither should have any lasting effects.

Fantasy Impact:

The main issue for New Orleans and Davis has been injuries, so, other than that, he's had a great season so far. While none of his injuries have been too serious, the problem is with their frequency. Many minor injuries can easily add up to be just as detrimental to a season as a single, more severe, one can. The way that Davis plays, combined with his body type, suggests that the nagging injuries are by no means a thing of the past. It may be difficult, at the moment, to get enough back in a trade to make it worth your while to deal the "Brow," but it's probably a good idea to always leave that option open, in case a viable opportunity presents itself. For now, though, Davis looks good and should be well past any lingering issues from the concussion.
