Anthony Davis played through shoulder injury for three years

by Blaine Blontz | Lakers Correspondent | Tue, Mar 22nd 9:12am EDT

Anthony Davis told reporters that he's been playing through shoulder injury for three years. The team has been aware of the condition for years, but the decision was made to allow Davis to play through the injury. Davis and the team ultimately decided to shut things down this season to repair the partially-torn labrum in his ailing shoulder. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Owners main gripe with Davis has been his injury issues which have regularly cost him games and production. While he'll need to be shut down now due to the surgery, he's expected to be ready to go for the 2016-17 NBA season. Hopefully the procedure will help resolve some of the lingering issues he's had in the past involving the shoulder and allow him to play more consistently moving forward.
