Gerald Green signs with the Celtics

Gerald Green agreed Saturday with the Celtics on a one-year guaranteed contract for the veteran's minimum, Sean Deveney of Sporting News reports.

Green who started his career with the Celtics in 2005-06 has bounced around the NBA before finally landing back in Boston. Last season he was with the Heat where he averaged 8.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists over 22.6 minutes per game. Expect similar numbers with the Celtics as he will fill the backup swingman role for the club.
