Anthony Davis to expected to play in season opener

Anthony Davis is expected to play in the Pelicans season opener on October 26th, after suffering a right ankle sprain in a preseason game against the Houston Rockets in China. Davis might even get a chance to test out his ankle in the Pelicans final preseason game on Thursday night against the Magic. (ESPN)

If Davis is healthy, he is a top five fantasy basketball player. Davis has averaged an incredible 20.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.4 blocked shots in his first four seasons in the NBA. Fantasy owners and the Pelicans are hoping that Davis can stay healthy for a full NBA season for the first time in his career.
