Deron Williams dishes 15 assists in win over Bulls

by Tom Williams | Sun, Dec 4th 8:42am EST

The Dallas Mavericks finally started clicking on offense right from the start of this game and didn’t let up as they cruised to an easy victory over the Bulls on Saturday night. Deron Williams finished with only nine points, but registered 15 assists in the win. He played 34 minutes and no longer seems to be on a minute restriction after recovering from a calf injury earlier this season.

Fantasy Impact:

This was the first time he’s registered double-digits in assists this season, and this was his best game as a Maverick since March 20th against Portland when he put up 31 points and 16 assists. The fact that Williams is fully healthy and in game condition is good news not only for owners who have Williams on their roster but also for Wesley Matthews and Harrison Barnes who have been burdened with a lot of heavy minutes this year. The Mavericks have been really bad this season, but maybe now that Williams is healthy they will start to turn things around.
