The Spurs have waived G Brandon Paul on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Paul wasn't a fantasy option and the team went out and signed Marco Belinelli and traded for DeMar DeRozen. Paul will look for a two-way deal this season.
Brandon Paul will not play on Saturday versus the Jazz.
Fantasy Impact
Bryn Forbes is ahead of Paul and the Spurs are healthy minus Kawhi Leonard and Rudy Gay so leave Paul on the waiver wire.
Brandon Paul saw extended playing time off the bench recording 25 minutes of action which is the most in four games. Paul used his playing time to score 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting and making three three-pointers on five attempts. Paul added to his production grabbing five rebounds and dishing out four assists.
Fantasy Impact
Paul saw additional time as a result of Danny Green being held out of the game as well as the blowout nature of the game. He has proven he can be an asset for the Spurs when he gets this much playing time, there is just a log jam at the guard position on this team. That being said expect Paul to be closer to his season average of 15 minutes upon Green's return in Tuesday night's game against the Mavericks.
Brandon Paul led the team with 18 points on 6-for-8 shooting including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. He added five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across a season-high 30 minutes of action in Monday night's 108-94 loss to the Celtics.
Fantasy Impact
Paul has now played in five straight games increasing his minute total each game. He can absolutely produce if given the opportunity, it's just yet to be seen if these minutes were just because of the blowout nature of the games he's played in or not. Keep a close eye on him as he's proven he can be a dynamic two-way player if given the chance.
Brandon Paul saw 21 minutes of action in Friday night's 114-87 loss to the Magic. He produced five points on 2-for-3 shooting, two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.
Fantasy Impact
This was Paul's third straight game seeing minutes. Paul likely won't see this much playing time often as the Spurs won't get beat like this very often. Paul shouldn't be considered for fantasy purposes.
