Matt Bonner has agreed to re-sign with San Antonio on a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum.
Fantasy Impact
Bonner will continue to spread the floor for the Spurs but because of a low-usage rate, is not much a factor in fantasy as this roster is currently constructed. Bonner could be brought out in lineups to play across from LaMarcus Aldridge, but that is yet to be seen.
Bonner did not contribute much in the Spurs win. He played 12 minutes, scoring zero points. He added a rebound and an assist.
Fantasy Impact
The starting center position for the Spurs has a revolving door. Gregg Popovich employs a time share, and chooses from a group, consisting of Aron Baynes, Boris Diaw, Tiago Splitter and Bonner. All four players are not worth adding to most fantasy rosters.
Matt Bonner shot 100% from the field adding two 3-pointers for 12 points. He finished with only 2 assists, 1 block, and no rebounds however.
Fantasy Impact
Disappointing rebounding total from a forward, but if you are depending on Matt Bonner to carry your fantasy team you have bigger things to worry about. This was a good game from Bonner, but well above his average and he should not be expected to do this often. He is best left in free agency.
