NBA planning for soft openings of some facilities on May 8th
The NBA has informed the franchises that no team facilities are to be used prior to May 8th. If a team is located in an area that isn't affected by a current shelter-in-place restrictions they can potentially open up with a limited capacity on that date.
While this is very early on, it appears that the NBA is planning to start getting operations back up and running, although cautiously. The limits that the league currently has in place would allow individual player workouts in team facilities with no more than four players and one team staffer in person. Adrian Wojnarowski added that for teams that are in markets with shelter-in-place restrictions the league plans to work with teams to make arrangements for their players.
