FantasyPros
Rodgers looked like he could barely move last year after sustaining an early injury, but he played all 16 games and still posted the second-highest passing total of his career. Rodgers still has elite skills but will turn 36 years old this season, and has now battled injuries in back to back years. The firing of Mike McCarthy can only be a good thing, even if we have little idea what to expect from Matt LeFleur's system. And Rodgers will almost certainly be out to prove that it was McCarthy's, rather than his, failings that led to last year's sub-par effort. No longer the No. 1 fantasy quarterback, Rodgers should still likely bounce back and be a top-five option this year.Moore finished his rookie campaign strong, with a big uptick in targets and catches over the second half of the season. With Devin Funchess now in Indianapolis, Moore moves to the top target in Carolina, although Curtis Samuel makes a 1B to Moore's 1A. He's incredibly fast and talented, and the only real concern is Cam Newton's health, as he's already battling a foot sprain. But, if Newton is good to go, Moore should be a strong WR2.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
ARod went 24/2 last season despite playing hurt and having a bad offensive system. There's no guarantee Matt Lafleur brings over a great offense after his struggles in Tennessee, but I am sure that he is going to let Rodgers fling it, which is great for fantasy purposes. He is about as safe as they come.
Kevin Wheeler
DraftWize
Since 2015, however, the Packers have gone a cumulative 30-24-1 with Rodgers under center, and the QB hasn't been as sharp as he once was. Over the past four years, Rodgers's yards per passing attempt dropped more than a yard from his previous career average to 7.1,2 and his TD rate fell a percentage point to 5.6 percent. fivethirtyeight.com
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Despite what looked like efficiency on the surface with 25 Tds and only 2 INTs, Aaron Rodgers was only 15 in True Throw Value last season. In fact, 8 QBs threw for 32 or more TDs last season. Over the last four seasons, Rodgers has passed that mark ONCE. He's still Aaron Rodgers and has a ceiling as high as anyone, but I'll pass at his current ADP.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
A creative offense could work wonders for A-Rod, who was still fantastic last year despite being held back by his system and young talent.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Rodgers finished as the No. 6 quarterback in fantasy last year despite throwing just 25 touchdowns. Did you know that was the first time in his career where he's played more than 10 games and failed to finish as a top-two fantasy quarterback? That track record is rather impossible to beat, even if Patrick Mahomes is coming off the best fantasy season of all-time. Don't reach for a quarterback with all the options available this year, but if Rodgers were to fall to the late-fourth or early-fifth-round, you should absolutely pull the triggerMoore became a full-time player for the Panthers in Week 8, so we've already seen a glimpse of what he can offer. But how high is his consistency and what players was he comparable to once he did take over that starting job? His teammate Curtis Samuel saw nearly the same target share in those weeks and actually offered more constant production. Moore is the superior player, but he'll also see more top-tier cornerbacks than Samuel will. With Cam Newton's hit-or-miss accuracy, Moore will definitely have some duds thrown in, which is why he's best-suited as a WR3 on your fantasy team
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Mahomes may have just had one of the strongest seasons of all-time, but unlike Rodgers, he may have lost his top weapon. Plus, Rodgers still had a spectacular season despite everyone thinking it to be a major disappointment. He threw just 2 interceptions and posted his second highest yardage total of his career. The difference was TD-rate which is a volatile statistic, almost certain to bounce back up this year. Every single season he has been healthy, Rodgers has finished 1st or 2nd among fantasy QBs so expect more of the same now that he has two good legs.Moore is the de facto number one receiver in Carolina and has upside to blossom into a high-end WR2 if everything goes right this year. Much of it will depend on whether or not Cam Newton's shoulder truly is healthy.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
I don't draft QB's early. Doesn't matter who they are. You're technically getting a discount on Rodgers when you compare his ADP across seasons...but I genuinely don't care. This is the deepest the QB position has ever been, so it's not a good idea spending an early pick on one in 4 point passing TD leagues.Moore played in both of the games that Funchess missed last season. His stat lines were 8/91/0 and 4/81/0. Now, that's an extremely small sample size, but we need to consider were the targets are going in that offense. The majority of the targets will be disbursed between CMC/Moore/Samuel/Olsen. Aside from that it's just going to be small amounts of volume here and there. Moore has the 14th highest projection among WR's according to my model. I have him projected for 74/1181/4.8. He's also an extremely safe pick. He has the 5th lowest chance to miss time due to injury according to sports injury predictor, and there's a 0% chance he gets passed on the depth chart. If anything, Newton is going to be better than he was last season. Every single bit of data points towards Moore having a breakout season this year. Moore was a first round pick last season, and he boasts an 88th percentile height adjusted speed score, a 94th percentile burst score, an 89th percentile catch radius, a 92nd percentile SPARQ-x score, a 97th percentile college dominator rating, and a 98th percentile college breakout age. He also just turned 22 and is already the Panthers #1 WR. Moore was also 1st in the league in yac/rec among WR's with at least 30 receptions, and Newton had the highest adjusted yards per completion of his career when targeting Moore last season. We also need to look at how he closed last season. He saw 8+ targets in 5 of his last 7 weeks. I'll be drafting as much Moore as I can this season, and I suggest you do the same.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Rodgers had a down year last year and still finished with 25 passing touchdowns, 2 picks and he was 6th among fantasy quarterbacks. Rodgers should still be an elite fantasy quarterback with a new coaching staff in 2019 and a much improved defense that will give them more scoring opportunities.Moore probably could have had a better year if the team had involved him earlier and QB Cam Newton did not have a bum shoulder. He is a WR3, but he has a ton of upside in this offense. He will be the lead target with WR Devin Funchess now in Indianapolis.
