While it's natural to expect that average to come down this season, it's still the same supporting cast and system that Rodgers had last year. He still has Davante Adams to throw to in the red zone and Robert Tonyan emerged as a reliable receiving option as well. While we shouldn't expect 48 touchdowns from him again this season, he could easily eclipse 35 touchdowns in 2021. If that's the case, he's a fine investment at his price point. While Hurts was a solid addition to fantasy rosters off of the waiver wire last year due to his rushing ability, he didn't necessarily shine as a passer. With just a 52% completion rate and a 6:4 TD to INT ratio, Hurts is going to have to be sensational as a mobile QB this season to justify the hype that he's getting. While he has the talent to be very good on the ground and pick up rushing yards, NFL defenses are now going to be able to game plan for Hurts' skillset with an entire off-season to study tape. If defenses can work to limit his mobility and force him to beat them from the pocket, we could see his fantasy output take a hit. As a streaming QB, Hurts is worth taking the shot on to see if he can overcome these potential obstacles. His ADP has fluctuated throughout the off-season and it's settled around QB12 right now because of the Deshaun Watson rumors. This is a perfectly fine spot to take a shot on Hurts in your drafts to see if he can rise to the occasion as a passer. If he does - which is a strong leap of faith - then he has top-5 upside.

Rodgers is back and the Packers offense is off life support. This ranking is solely about the respect I have for Rodgers. He's one of, if not, arguably the best QB to ever play in the NFL. He's the most accurate QB on the run I've ever seen. Aaron has pinpoint precision. He had a career year in 2020. The odds are his stats probably go down a bit. However, the major concern, and it's a big one, is can the Packers o-line protect him? All pro LT David Baktiari tore his acl in late Dec 2020. it's unlikely he returns, either in time, or as effective as last year. All-pro C Corey Linsley signed with the L.A. Chargers in free agency. That's 2 all-pros and 40% of the Packers offensive line in doubt. The good news is State Farm probably hooked up Aaron with some decent life insurance as gratitude for all of those commercials he's done for them. Rodgers! Discount double check!Hurts was a surprise pick by the Eagles in 2020 draft. Maybe they knew something the rest of us didn't? One thing we do know is Hurts isn't the most accurate passer. Also, the word on the street is the Eagles are trying hard to trade for DeShaun Watson. That's the main concern I have with Jalen is the possibility they trade for Watson. In that scenario, Hurts probably gets moved in the deal and has to learn a new playbook in the summer or midseason which is even worse. Drafting Heisman Trophy winner Devonta Smith will help the offense big time. He'll add some sizzle to the Philly cheesesteak. What saves Jalen is his rushing yards. He could be up there with Lamar Jackson's rushing totals if he keeps running at that clip. That would make Hurts a sneaky good pick on draft day, if the Eagles keep him. That's a big if though. Hmnn...

Could go ballistic chasing records in his likely last year in GB8/31 - Officially named the starter after the team constantly dodged it. Assuming this means no Watson, Hurts is now set up for an ultimate Konami season.

10 years ago, Rodgers would be going as a top-three quarterback in fantasy football. Our game has grown sharper since then, however, so we can easily point towards his unsustainable touchdown rate from 2020 (9.1%) and know that regression is coming. Here's the thing, though. Rodgers isn't going as a top-three fantasy QB. He's available in the QB7-9 range of drafts. After years of operating as an out-of-structure gunslinger under Mike McCarthy, Rodgers finally embraced Matt LaFleur's system. The results were fantastic, and while he won't keep playing at as high of a level in 2021, he's a fantastic late-round QB option. It doesn't really matter whether or not the Eagles are committed to Hurts after this season. He flashed explosive upside in his three full starts last year, finishing as the QB12, QB1, and QB12 in those outings. Similar to Lamar Jackson's rookie season, Hurts accomplished this by playing in an offensive structure that wasn't necessarily designed for him. Since the end of 2020 Philadelphia has brought in former running-mate and Heisman winner DeVonta Smith, in addition to retooling the offensive line. The konami code is in full effect with Hurts, who is yet another fantastic late-round QB option.

With his playing status no longer in "Jeopardy!", Rodgers should get right back to his brand of efficient gunslinging football in 2021 his "Last Dance" season. Will he reach his 9.1% touchdown rate he notched last season? Probably not. He'll still be wildly efficient and accurate, the Packers will score a ton of points, and will be because of #12. He's a perfect quarterback to grab in fantasy drafts after the Wilson/Herbert tier comes off the board.

I was all aboard the value train with Rodgers last year, but now that he's coming off his 2020 MVP campaign, he's going to be drafted higher than I'm willing to go. Why? His touchdown rate was 9.1 percent in 2020. Every quarterback who's ever finished with a touchdown rate of 8.5 percent or more has regressed the following season. If we dial that number back to Rodgers' career mark of 6.3 percent, which is still elite, he would've finished as the QB10 instead of the QB2 that he did. He doesn't offer mobility anymore and his offense isn't what we'd describe as "pass heavy." Don't forget that many left him for dead after the 2019 season when he posted QB1-type numbers just 31.3 percent of the time. There's probably an in-between here, but that's the issue: I'm unwilling to pay for last year's performance. In reality, he's a safe QB1 who requires an ultra-high touchdown-rate to finish top-five. The same can be said about Tom Brady, who is likely to come a few rounds later in drafts. We saw a glimpse of what Hurts can bring to the table last year, though it was just a four-game sample size. He started four games for the Eagles, and each of those games netted at least 16.3 fantasy points, highlighting a floor that's hard to find. He also flashed upside with a 37.8-point outburst in Week 15 against the Cardinals. The downside is that it was a small sample size, and Hurts appeared to get worse every time out. Even then, it's still a small sample size. There's a new coaching staff, along with a new No. 1 receiver, but if what we saw from Hurts in 2020 was his floor, we're in for a treat in 2021. If he can hone in and improve his accuracy numbers from 2020, there's legitimate top-six quarterback upside.

Aaron Rodgers had a career year in 2020 throwing for 4,299 yards and 48 TDs which led to him winning his 3rd MVP award. Not only will Rodgers have superstar WR, Davante Adams to rely on, but the Packers also traded for former Packers WR, Randall Cobb giving him the slot WR he needed. I expect another huge season from Rodgers.

It will be hard for Jalen Hurts to finish outside the top-eight fantasy QBs in 2021 even if he doesn't improve as a passer. Projected rushing over 17 games: 64 scrambles for 466 yds, 67 designed rush attempts for 335 yds, 5 TDs. That's 110 points before throwing a pass. @dwainmcfarland

The big question is will he play in Green Bay. It looks like there is going to be a standoff between Rodgers and the GM and landing spot will impact his 2021 fantasy ranking. For now, he is an elite QB1 coming off a MVP season playing for one of the best offenses in the NFL.Hurts showed flashed of brilliance in his rookie year and has a lot of upside in his second year with Carson Wentz now in Indianapolis. The Eagles signing Joe Flacco should ensure Hurts is the unquestioned starter in 2021. He is a low-end QB1 with upside as a duel threat quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers had an elite level season, but at 38 this year, it's better to think of him as just a hair behind that top 5 group. He threw for a league-high 48 TDs and just five picks while posting 4,299 yards passing and 387 fantasy points. Everything broke right for Rodgers in 2020. Well, except for the NFC Championship game. Oh, and the fact he's "disgruntled" with the organization. It's important not to lose sight of the fact that Rodgers threw for 25 TDs in '18 and 26 TDs in '19. The 48 seems like a pretty colossal outlier at this stage in his career. He had a three-week period where he threw for 15 TDs. Rodgers will give you consistently solid QB play and is still a reliable, upper-tier QB in fantasy. It would be foolish to bid on 2020 as though it was repeatable. Davante Adams had a lot to do with Rodgers' success. If Adams should suffer any injury again, Rodgers' value would immediately take a massive hit. This is the significant difference between Rodgers and a QB like Matt Ryan, who has more weapons at his disposal. For the second year in a row, Green Bay failed to bring in a complementary WR of note, although bringing back Aaron Jones is beneficial to the offense.I am a fan of Jalen Hurts, the quarterback. He bet on himself in college and won, then showed he could play at the NFL level in 2020. I am not, however, completely sold on Jalen Hurts, the fantasy quarterback, quite yet. His 38-point performance against the Cardinals rightfully excited a lot of fantasy analysts. But there were some less than stellar moments as well that folks are forgetting. His rushing upside is incredibly intriguing, but he still has a long way to go as a passer. People are also ignoring the Eagles offensive line that did not get markedly better year over year. Plus, it's a new HC, and that means a new playbook to learn and execute. I am not saying Hurts can't take his new toy DeVonta Smith and have himself a QB1 season. I am saying the risk of him finishing outside of the QB1 range is equally possible. Therefore, drafting ahead of proven entities like Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, etc., is unnecessary in a single QB format. In a Superflex league, the gamble becomes intriguing because you can easily team him up with one of those steadier veterans and enjoy the high ceiling games without the low floor contests costing you weeks. In dynasty leagues, Hurts needs to show himself to be the QB of the future for the Eagles, or Nick Sirianni may get to choose his guy in the 2022 draft.

A pissed-off Aaron Rodgers is a great Aaron Rodgers, and boy does he seem angry. It's hard to rank Rodgers at this point, not knowing if he will still be a Packer in Week 1, but wherever he ends up, he is going to have a chip on his shoulder the size of a Green Bay wheel of cheese. I'm going to be betting on that a motivated Rodgers, just like I did last season. If the Texans didn't exist, the Eagles would be the model for franchise disfunction the past couple of seasons. The winner in the chaos is Jalen Hurts, who finds himself as the QB after taking over for the recently traded Carson Wentz in the last quarter of the season. Hurts will no doubt be asked to use his legs, which alone usually means at least moderate fantasy success, but how much can we trust his arm? Its hard to judge a guy in his rookie year called on to right a sinking ship, but either way, his 52% completion percentage leaves a whole lot to be desired. Add that to the unknown of new HC Nick Sirianni and offensive coordinator Shane Steichen, and Hurts' arm is a major wild card. His opportunities on the ground should give him a nice floor this season.
