FantasyPros
Some believe Dillon is going to walk in and destroy the value of someone like Aaron Jones, while others say he negates the role of Jamaal Williams. I don't know if he does either, but when a team spends a second-round pick on a running back, they typically have a plan for them. Over the last seven years, running backs drafted in the second round average 172.3 touches in their rookie season. Dillon is just an early-down back, so he'll be extremely touchdown dependent. Knowing how good Jones has been in that role, it's tough to take him off the field, so I'm fine with going the wait-and-see approach with Dillon (and every other non-Jones back in this backfield). We figured the Chargers might add a running back to replace Melvin Gordon, and it appears Kelley is that guy, though some are torn on whether it's him or Justin Jackson to get the bigger workload. Knowing they invested a fourth-round pick on Kelley, it seems likely that he'll get the first crack at the job. Realistically, it could be a three-headed backfield between them. This won't be the same offense it was with Philip Rivers and we're likely to lose some overall potential from a fantasy perspective. But for now, we should assume that Kelley is the handcuff to Ekeler, even though they're completely different players.

Draftwize
One dimensional back that scores poorly in @GrahamBarfield 's Yards Created model. Despite consistently demonstrating strength against upper body attacks, Dillon can be a simple take down in the open field. He's not terrible at changing direction or making a cut when it's a part of the plan, but in terms of pure athleticism the stiffness in his hips is on display often. @JetPackGalileoLots of high opinions of #UCLA RB Joshua Kelley out there. Former walk-on who worked his way up and experienced lots of success. He was also a standout performer from the Senior Bowl.

The Fantasy First Down
What the heck were the Packers doing in the NFL draft?! Despite having the RB2 last year in Aaron Jones and a viable backup in Jamaal Williams, they ignored their WR need and drafted AJ Dillon in the second round! The stupidity of that move fell through the cracks due to the earlier Jordan Love selection but it made absolutely no sense. Now the Packers backfield is a mess and Dillon is a fantasy player's nightmare. I'm treating him as an Aaron Jones insurance policy as the lead back is in a contract year. That makes Dillon little more than a handcuff and for that reason I likely won't touch him.Austin Ekeler's partner in crime is going to have some weekly value as the little RB isn't a guy you want handling 250+ carries in a season. In comes Joshua Kelley. The UCLA man was strong between the tackles last year and should provide 6-10 carries a week with enormous handcuff upside if Ekeler goes down. There is the risk Justin Jackson gets involved and that's why you can't have Kelley too high, but he is an intriguing option.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
AJ Dillon has the draft capital on his side, but it's difficult to see him seeing any significant work in year one with Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams ahead of him. This move screams Matt LaFluer wants Derrick Henry back for this offense in Green Bay, but the issue is that Dillon isn't on the same planet from a talent perspective that Henry is...It's hard to see this move panning out long-term, but he'll be given every opportunity to succeed in the years to come.Joshua Kelley was a player that I came away impressed with after watching his tape. After seeing his landing spot, I may be doing my best to scoop up Kelley everywhere I can in Dynasty rookie drafts. He's a back who's not afraid to embrace contact and he moves very well in between the tackles. He's the perfect compliment to Austin Ekeler and should immediately assume the Melvin Gordon role from previous seasons. While I don't believe Kelley will instantly produce the same way that Gordon did, he's going to see enough work to be fantasy relevant each week.
