Did you realize that Jeffery had just a 47.5 percent catch rate in 2017? That ranked 168th of the 211 wide receivers who saw at least one target in 2018. To know that he finished as the WR15 despite that is pretty amazing. The chemistry between him and Carson Wentz should grow as time goes on, though his touchdown rate will likely go down with Wentz's. Still, Jeffery is the clear-cut No. 1 receiver in an offense with a creative play-caller and franchise quarterback. His injury-riddled past is factored in, as he'd be higher on my list if he hadn't missed 11 games in the past three years with a lot of soft tissue injuries. News has been leaked recently that has him potentially remaining on the PUP list to start the season. If that's the case, he'll become nothing more than a late-round bench stash. As of now, it appears that he's likely to at least miss a few games. It didn't seem like Gordon missed a beat upon his return last year, though the quarterback play was less than ideal. 39 percent of his targets were over 20 yards, though just 5-of-16 were catchable. It goes to show that the Browns want to use him down the field, though there's bound to be some changes with Todd Haley taking over as coordinator. The reason I'm down on Gordon, though, is that they brought in Tyrod Taylor, Carlos Hyde, Nick Chubb, and Jarvis Landry this offseason. That screams, "we want to run a ball-control style offense." There's only so many targets to go around, so by drafting Gordon as a top-24 receiver, you're essentially saying that Landry is likely to cap out around 100 targets. On top of the target risk, Gordon is now away from the team for training camp, which cannot bode well for him learning the new offense and developing chemistry with his new quarterbacks. A rumor is that Gordon wanted to keep away from the Hard Knocks cameras. If that's the case, Gordon's fall in drafts could turn out to be beneficial.

Jeffery is in a strong offense and will be able to start 2018 as a veteran of that offense rather than a rookie like last season. He scored seven touchdowns in his last seven games. UPDATE: Jeffery has yet to practice and there is a possibility he might not be ready for Week 1 and could even land on the PUP list, knocking him out of the first six games. The odds are against that, but keep an eye on his status. *Gordon returned with five games left in the season to a winless team with a turnover machine at quarterback and still was able to put up decent numbers after an extremely long layoff. The Browns signed Tyrod Taylor, who should be an upgrade, but a full offseason and preseason with the team should be great for Gordon as he prepares for the 2018 season. UPDATE: Gordon missed the start of training camp, and there is some reason to worry about his status for this season. Until we know solid facts, Gordon should be avoided as a high draft pick.

FantasyPros
Alshon could start on the PUP list to begin the season so make sure to pay close attention before your draft. He impressed last season, and especially in the playoffs, but let's not forget that he had fewer than 800 receiving yards and has proven to be injury prone in the past. There is upside for sure, but perhaps not quite at the price he is going for.Gordon was fairly impressive last season for having hardly played football in the last several years. With that said, the Browns brought in Jarvis Landry and Carlos Hyde who should both cut into his opportunities. The ceiling is clearly huge, but the floor ought to scare you quite a bit as well, especially since we don't know why he isn't joining the team for training camp.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Between weeks 8-15 last season (7 games) Alshon Jeffery totaled 30 catches on 62 targets for 427 yards and 7 touchdowns. As #Eagles gear up for the season, WR Alshon Jeffery has remained on PUP. Though he's progressing according to plan, sources say the timing of his rotator cuff surgery -- following the Super Bowl win - means there's a chance he may not be ready for the opener. Could stay on PUP. @RapSheet

QB List
As a die-hard Eagles fan, I will sing to the heavens of the exploits of Alshon Jeffery last season. In a year of growth for both he, his quarterback, and his team as a whole, Jeffery only managed 57 receptions, 789 yards, though with a whopping nine touchdowns. These statistics however, belie the upside of a top 10 WR for two distinct reasons: 1) Jeffery was relied upon more toward the end of the season as his rapport with Carson Wentz, and later Nick Foles, strengthened, and most importantly 2) Jeffery played the whole season with a torn rotator cuff. Man that's tough. Look for a solid game-to-game floor with huge games mixed in for the #1 receiver in a dynamic Eagles offense. Our next two receivers require little analysis. Gordon falls slightly above Landry at #29 purely based on upside. Having Gordon on the field is like having the Madden-made player from when you were 8 years old out there for you. He's borderline unstoppable…except for when his QB is hot garbage. Luckily, he gets the ever-dependable, yet nothing exciting, Tyrod Taylor this year. While Taylor isn't typically a downfield passer, Gordon should be utilized generously enough to garner top 30 upside, and with emphasis on his insane skill-set, possibly even top 20 upside.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
A fruitful change of scenery made Jeffery's year. Despite a woeful 48 catch % and 3.6 receptions per game, his nine TDs (eight inside the red zone) cemented a WR15 finish. He remains the top wideout on a potent Philadelphia offense, but his year-by-year TD tallies (3-7-10-4-2-9) are living proof of the key stat's volatility. In his first action since 2014, Gordon exceeded reasonable expectations by registering 335 yards in five games. He also secured just 18 of 43 targets for 335 yards, and the Browns have since acquired target-guzzler Jarvis Landry. Citing his "health and treatment plan," he has yet to report to camp. Gordon wields league-winning upside, but the range of outcomes is too cavernous too comfortably draft as a top-20 wideout.

Seems like a shoe-in for a top 25 performance after him and Wentz showed improved chemistry as the season progressedGordon has scary upside regardless of whether its Taylor or Mayfield under center but needs to find a way to avoid off field issues
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
The Eagles spread things out offensively but Jeffery proved last year he can still dominate in stretchesHe can be a freak but he's still on the Browns and you need to pay a hefty price for a guy that is pretty impossible to trust
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
He averaged only 8.3 fantasy points per game, but he also lost his starting quarterback for the last 3 games of the regular season. He will never see enough targets to be a WR1 for the season, but he is an excellent WR2.Gordon averaged 7.9 fantasy points per game last year in five games and if he dedicates himself to the off-season programs, he could emerge as a WR2 candidate in 2018.
