Has 130 more catches, 951 more rec. yards and 11 more TD grabs than any other WR over past five seasons - can write his expected line - 100+ catches, 1,500+ yards, 8+ TDs - in penMaybe not a dynamic talent, but no less than rock solid - a King of Consistency that has more catches in first two seasons of NFL career (196) than any other player since AFL/NFL merger in 1970
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
My overall ranking might be too low on the No. 1 wide receiver who has now finished inside the top-three at his position in each of the last four years, but passing on a volume running back is hard to do. Brown is as consistent as they come, as he's now posted at least WR2 numbers in 57 of his last 77 games, which amounts to 74 percent of the time. The only wide receivers who were able to accomplish that in just one year (2017) were Deandre Hopkins and Michael Thomas. He's the No. 1 wide receiver and it's not even debatable at this point. He's like a fine wine that gets better with age. If you want to take him as the third player off the board, there's no issue with that. What Thomas lacked in upside in 2017, he made up for with consistency, as he was finished with WR2 or better numbers 75 percent of the time, which ranked second to only Deandre Hopkins. Should some of Alvin Kamara's regression go Thomas' way, you'll be getting a steal in the second-round, as he'll finish as a top-five wide receiver. Most don't realize that he finished top-eight last year despite scoring just five times. As long as Drew Brees is his quarterback, Thomas is worth a top-20 pick in any format. Since 2011, Thomas' 80.6 percent rate of finishing as a WR3 or better is the best in football, with Antonio Brown right behind him at 79.2 percent.

In my heart of hearts I really wanted DeAndre Hopkins to usurp Brown for the #1 spot but it just couldn't happen this year. The consensus #1 fantasy receiver for what has seemed like forever now (only 4 years), Brown combines a monstrous target share with truly elite route running and hands to possess the highest realistic weekly upside of any receiver. While James Washington attempts to fill the hole Martavis Bryant left, Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster will be sure to shoulder more of the target load for an explosive Steelers offense. The only downside on Brown lies in Ben Roethlisberger's more than questionable health, but Brown's upside trumps any concerns one would have long-term.Alright folks, this is where we start spicing things up. Unlike Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., or Keenan Allen, Thomas offers a truly elite mix of consistent target share, production with that target share, and a stable role in his top-tier offense with the only competing pass catchers being Ted Ginn, Cameron Meredith, or Benjamin Watson. Having only missed 1 game in the past two years, Thomas has a clean bill of health to his name as well, lending to his truly elite consistency. Thomas serves as a rock to any lineup week after week and his consistency and high scoring offense are what solidify's him as the #3 receiver in my book.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Brown beats out the other top receivers due to his consistency and extremely high floor. Beckham and Hopkins have just as much upside as Brown, but they just haven't proven they have that consistency yet.Thomas had trouble getting into the end zone in 2017, as the Saints had great luck at getting their running backs in the end zone, but he's the no-doubt No. 1 receiver on a top offense. I expect we'll see an increase to better touchdown numbers moving forward.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
No need to overthink this: Brown is about as safe a bet as there is in fantasy football. Worthy of No. 1 overall status, Brown is an excellent value anywhere after the No. 4 pick. Thomas should also see a bigger share of red zone targets as Mark Ingram sits out September. Thomas should top 100 receptions and 1,200 yards once again.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
There may not be a safer fantasy investment than Brown, who remarkably topped all receivers in PPR scoring for the fourth straight season despite missing two games. He has averaged 116 catches and 1,596 yards per season since 2013, when he finished a paltry third. For good measure he torched an elite Jaguars secondary (7-132-2 TDs) in a postseason shootout. Anyone who doesn't peg the future Hall of Famer as the undisputed top WR (and top-five overall choice in all formats) is probably is just eager to be a contrarian at any cost.A model of consistency, Thomas provided at least 9.5 PPR points in all but one game last season. He joins Antonio Brown and Julio Jones as the only wideouts to finish among the position's top 10 in each of the last two seasons. Drew Brees's go-to target is a good gig, one that has Thomas deserving of second-round consternation. Those pointing to positive TD regression for Brees should expect more than five end-zone visits from his premier pass-catcher.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
He's been a top 3 WR for the past four years.Michael Thomas's 196 receptions are the most of any receiver in his first two seasons. He's ninth in yards (2,382) and fourth in catch % (72.6%). @4for4_John
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
He's still the best in the game until proven otherwise. Draft accordingly.Thomas has immense upside but he's curbed a bit by a balanced system. I still think he's a lock for the top-10 and atop 5 threat
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
If you are looking for safety in the first round, you'll find much more of it in Brown than any of the running backs. He has been a top three wideout each of the past four seasons and is as durable as they come.Starting an NFL career with 2,382 receiving yards on 196 receptions during the first two seasons shows just how special Thomas is. We may not have even seen the best of him yet. Don't be shocked if he leaps forward into that top tier at the position.

Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Brown averaged a league-leading 14.8 fantasy points per game among fantasy receivers and he should continue to be a fantasy star in 2018. Thomas was fine in the receptions (104) and yardage (1,245) department, but he only scored 5 touchdowns. I think he should be fine in 2018 as a WR1 in fantasy and those touchdown numbers should be closer to double-digits in 2018.
