Keep an eye on his status for Week 1.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Last year, Brown was only the #12 VBD player overall after finishing #1 in 2015, as running back depth took a huge hit and his yardage dropped 550 from the year before. If Big Ben can stay upright, we should see him return to the top 5 this year so he is well worth a high first investment. While some might worry that the presence of Brandon Marshall might hurt Beckham, you might instead consider that it should prevent as many double and triple teams. He should again be expected to produce 95+ yards per game and be among the league leaders in receptions. If he misses two games, however, he should fall to the back end of the first round.

He's the best, but he has a higher likelihood of losing his QB due to injury. Remember, when you draft a WR, you're also drafting his QB.

Only an injury to Ben Roethlisberger will slow down AB 84. Auction Value $40 Keep a eye on his ankle injury. He could be bothered by it all season if the Giants rush him on the filed. Auction Value $38
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Guaranteed top-5 WR, baring injury. He's going to see some single coverage with all the other weapons. I think B. Marshall can get in his head and get him to grow-up, not cry like a baby when his target share drops. "An MRI of Beckham's ankle confirmed that he has no more than a sprained ankle, although the severity of the injury has not been revealed… It appears this is a low left ankle sprain, given that Beckham said he 'rolled' the ankle and McAdoo said, 'We'll take it day by day.'" https://twitter.com/NFLfntsyWheeler/status/900167405061754881

Brown had a down year for him, but there wasn't much room for him to exceed his previous three fantasy finishes. He's still easily in the top-wide receiver conversation and even the top-overall-pick conversation, as the Steelers' offense should remain strong. The No. 1 wide receiver this coming season will likely come from Beckham, Antonio Brown, Mike Evans or Julio Jones once again. Beckham is the young gun of the group with plenty to prove still. I'm going to look to him as the highest-upside wide receiver of the year, but it's no doubt close.
Sablich Brothers
5th Down Fantasy
Pretty great "down" year for Brown in 2016 (106/1,284/12) in 15 games; most durable and highest floor of the top tier WRs.First WR to top 90/1,300/10 in each of first three seasons; Manning's dip a concern; tied for second in red-zone targets (23).
Staff Rankings
QB List
I don't know that I have to do much convincing to tell you that Brown is the best wide receiver in football, and probably the best player in fantasy football. His 2015 stats were insane, and while his stats went down a little in 2016, he still finished the year with 106 catches, 1,284 yards, and 12 touchdowns, and that was in a season that Ben Roethlisberger missed time. He's a no-brainer top pick.OBJ has been great for three straight years now, topping 1,300 yards and double-digit touchdowns in each year of his career. It would be nice if someone other than Eli Manning was throwing the ball to him, but even with Eli, OBJ has been awesome and should continue to be.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
He's still probably the most talented WR in the league and missed the #1 spot by 7 fantasy pts last yearBeckham wants to set new heights in NFL pay, so you better believe he'll keep churning out elite numbers
Brandon Funston
Fantasy Spin
If Big Ben hadn't missed 2 games, and if Brown hadn't missed his 1st game since '12, we'd likely be talking about him finishing as the top fantasy WR for his 3rd straight season - as it was, his No. 3 WR finish in '16 still wasn't too shabbyThe only WRs to score more FAN PTS thru 1st three seasons of a career were Randy Moss and Jerry Rice - only 24, expect ODB to push for another line in the neighborhood 100/1400/10

Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It's now four straight seasons where Brown has finished as a top-seven wide receiver, including two seasons as the No. 1 receiver. He's averaged 1,579 yards and 10.8 touchdowns in that span, and keep in mind that he posted his two best seasons while Martavis Bryant was on the field with him. You're nit-picking when trying to decipher between Beckham, Jones, and Brown, but the area of concern for Beckham is his newfound competition for targets. Brandon Marshall and Evan Engram are going to see targets, potentially lowering Beckham's 169 target ceiling from last year. He's talented enough to make up for the decrease, but still a tick below Jones and Brown for me.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Brown has been 1st, 1st and 3rd among fantasy receivers the last 3 years and he should continue to be the most consistent fantasy receiver.OBJ had 101 receptions for 1,367 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns last year. He should be an elite receiver again in 2017, even playing with a declining QB Eli Manning.
