Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
After being barely utilized as a runner in college, Gibson came out on fire in his rookie season. He averaged 4.7 YPC and 11 rushing touchdowns, which is absurd for a player who saw only 33 total carries in college. Heading into 2021, the sky's the limit for Gibson and what he can do with this experience to his name. He should receive a larger workload this upcoming season and this offense is going to be more potent due to the QB upgrade. You're going to have to pay up for Gibson and it's hard to take him over some more proven names, but this is a swing for the fences selection that has a very good chance of making it out of the park.I'm going to be honest, one of the most difficult players for me to project this season is Clyde Edwards-Helaire. His talent, his receiving ability out of the backfield, and the offense he's in all indicate that he should be a top-tier fantasy contributor. Unfortunately, the usage is too unpredictable to feel confident ranking him anywhere higher than a mid-range RB2. If Andy Reid commits to the run game behind this new offensive line, CEH could be a top-5 fantasy option in 2021. On the other hand, we could see more of the same from this offense this season where CEH gets a handful of carries each game, but it's not nearly enough to push him into weekly top-12 consideration. We'll need to monitor training camp reports to see if Reid is looking to change the offense a bit to lean on CEH. If he does, Edwards-Helaire could be the steal of fantasy football drafts this year. My Very Early Projection: 204-918-6 rushing & 54-424-2 receiving.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
I like Gibson, it's not that I don't. The issue is that he's not heavily involved in the passing game, and he topped 94 yards on the ground just twice all of last season, with both of those games coming against the Cowboys. In fact, 28.7 percent of his fantasy points in 2020 were against the Cowboys. I can certainly see Gibson finishing higher than my ranking, but those above him have either (a) a more consistent track record, or (b) less question marks. He scored a touchdown once every 15.5 carries last year, a number that's surely to go up.Not many realize that Edwards-Helaire was the No. 11 running back through six weeks without Le'Veon Bell on the roster. Even better, he was the No. 11 running back while scoring just once during that time. In fact, had he scored one more touchdown, he would've been the No. 6 running back through six weeks. Once they traded for Bell, though, it ruined the stable touches he was getting. With Bell gone and no one significant brought in this offseason, Edwards-Helaire should return to his 18-plus touch role in the offense. The Chiefs have rebuilt their offensive line this year, which should help make life easier on Edwards-Helaire, who did average a solid 4.44 yards per carry his rookie season. Touchdowns are what were lacking, but don't bet on that again in what's likely to be the No. 1 scoring offense in the NFL.

Hail to Fantasy Football
I keep moving him up. Remember last preseason when some people were suggesting to take him at #1 overall? I do. Nothing has really changed. If anything, he has a year under his belt and is likely a steal in Rd 2.
Mark Ringo
Sleepers and Busts
Well this call could make me look really smart or really foolish. Just an fyi- the smart money is on foolish haha! Antonio Gibson is still recovering from a turf toe injury he suffered in late 2020. That's a concern. If he's okay, then things could get real interesting. Coach Ron Rivera said he wants him to be more involved in the passing game (Note- he played WR in college). He came into the NFL really raw as a RB which means he could make a huge leap. Gibson is one of the few RBs with major three down upside if things break right, well assuming it's not his toe. He's big (220 lbs), fast (ran a 4.39 40 yard dash), and a natural playmaker. Can his toe hold up? That's the million dollar question? If it does, lookout! Gibbaay!!!Edwards-Helaire was a disappointment for fantasy owners last year after getting off to a good start. Andy Reid's offense is difficult to learn and he's had an entire offseason to become more familiar with it. Reid's history is he likes to utilize one RB. The comp by scouts after watching Helaire was a better version of Brian Westbrook. And the Chiefs' offense is more explosive than the Eagles offense that Westbrook was a part of. Looked at Chiefs' Kingdom, he is finally there, to sit on his thrown as The Prince of Helaire. I'm a buyer of the Fresh Prince of Helaire!
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Gibson averaged 13.2 fantasy points per game in his rookie year and he should have a lot of upside in his second year if Washington ups his usage in his second year.CEH averaged 13.9 fantasy points per game in the first 7 games of the year and fell to 10.1 fantasy points the rest of the way as injuries slowed him down. CEH feels like he should be a RB1 in that offense, but I think durability, consistency, and timeshare concerns keep him out of the RB1 discussion and make him more of a RB2.
Kevin Wheeler
The Draft Zone
Who's going to take RB touches from him? Through the first 6 weeks of the season, CEH had 107 rushes, 505 carries and 1 touchdown. He also had 31 targets for 21 catches and 177 yards. His 16-game pace would have had him finish as the RB6 in full-PPR leagues. Ahead of Jonathan Taylor, with only 3 TDs. - @RobFFAddict He was pacing at 285 carries for 1,347 carries and 3 touchdowns. He also was on pace for 83 targets, 56 catches and 472 yards. -
Tim Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
CEH being drafted at current ADP has the ability to be a league winner for the bold people who draft him. His hype last year is affecting his narrative. Instead of it reading "young RB in good situation looks to improve on high-end RB2 finish in his second year" it is "rookie bust enters 2021 trying to prove he is good enough for great team around him." In the end its all about perspective,
Brendan Tuma
FantasyPros
CEH is once again a polarizing player within fantasy circles. After busting as a first-round selection in 2020, Edwards-Helaire ultimately proved to be more "consistent" than "dominant" as a fantasy running back. The arrival of Le'Veon Bell midway through the year killed his chances of returning the investment managers made in him, as Edwards-Helaire averaged just 2.8 catches per game despite playing with Patrick Mahomes in an Andy Reid offense. Still, he totaled more rushing yards than Antonio Gibson, and the Chiefs chose not to re-sign either Bell or Damien Williams. Destined for positive TD regression given the amount of touches he should receive in an elite offense, CEH is a no-brainer selection in Round 3 of summer drafts.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
More positive game-scripts & TD opportunities, plus Scott Turner could just decide to give Gibson the full CMac bellcow treatment he so deserves. -- BUT this latest toe news is aggravating.Love the removal of Damien Williams, who had the potential to be a true thorn in his side. Bell also gone, and the team added the mauling OT Orlando Brown. All these should help CEH reach the limitless ceiling that had us drooling a little prematurely last year
