Sleepers and Busts
Well this call could make me look really smart or really foolish. Antonio Gibson is still recovering from a turf toe injury he suffered in late 2020. That's a concern. If he's okay, then things could get real interesting. Coach Ron Rivera said he wants him to be more involved in the passing game (Note- he played WR in college). He came into the NFL really raw as a RB which means he could make a huge leap. Gibson is one of the few RBs with major three down upside if things break right, well assuming it's not his toe. He's big (220 lbs), fast (ran a 4.39 40 yard dash), and a natural playmaker. Can his toe hold up? That's the million dollar question? If it does, lookout! If Gus Edwards eats into his carries at all, Dobbins owners will be in trouble. Even if Edwards doesn't, expect Lamar Jackson to vulture some goal line TDs. Also, the Ravens don't pass it much. That caps Dobbins upside in half point and full point PPR formats. Given those concerns, JK is too risky for me at his current 3rd round ADP. If you decide to ignore my advice by going to Baskin Dobbins and scooping him up in the 3rd round, don't be surprised if you see your team's championship hopes melt away in 2021. Bust

FantasyPros
I like Gibson, it's not that I don't. The issue is that he's not heavily involved in the passing game, and he topped 94 yards on the ground just twice all of last season, with both of those games coming against the Cowboys. In fact, 28.7 percent of his fantasy points in 2020 were against the Cowboys. I can certainly see Gibson finishing higher than my ranking, but those above him have either (a) a more consistent track record, or (b) less question marks. He scored a touchdown once every 15.5 carries last year, a number that's surely to go up.Dobbins is extremely talented, there's no doubting that. However, if you think he's a breakout candidate to finish as a top-five running back, you're betting against the odds. Among the running backs who finished top-10 last year, just two of them finished there while seeing fewer than 39 targets. Those two running backs were Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb, who averaged 5.4 and 5.6 yards per carry, numbers no one can actually project to hit. They also scored 17 and 12 touchdowns on the ground, propping their numbers up. Dobbins saw just 24 targets last year, a number that's unlikely to move much considering he's in the same offense with the same quarterback, only with more weapons around him. If Dobbins can rush for over 5.0 yards per carry (he did last year) and score double-digit rushing touchdowns (again, hard to project), he's going to finish as a top-10 running back, but not top-five due to the lack of work in the passing game. He's best-suited as your RB2 who has RB1 in his range of outcomes.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Dobbins had a successful rookie campaign, scoring nine touchdowns and averaging an impressive six yards per carry. But there could have been so much more, had he started seeing 10 touches per game prior to Week 6. The Ravens again led the league in rush attempts and yards per carry, but Dobbins received just 152 touches on the season. In other words, even though he was dynamic and in a perfect offense for rushing the ball, the volume simply wasn't there for him to finish as an elite fantasy running back. Unfortunately, that's probably going to be the case again this season, with Gus Edwards, who put up similarly strong stats last year, and Lamar Jackson taking a large share of the carries. That hardly makes Dobbins useless from a fantasy perspective, and he can and should be drafted as a strong RB2. But absent an Edwards injury, his upside is a bit capped.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
More positive game-scripts & TD opportunities, plus Scott Turner could just decide to give Gibson the full CMac bellcow treatment he so deserves. -- BUT this latest toe news is aggravating.
Kevin Wheeler
The Draft Zone
Lack of pass-catching opportunity caps his ceiling.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Gibson averaged 13.2 fantasy points per game in his rookie year and he should have a lot of upside in his second year if Washington can improve their offense this offseason.Dobbins averaged 16.7 fantasy points over his final six games and emerged as the fantasy back to own in Baltimore to close the season. I think he picks up where he left off in his second year and emerges as a low-end RB1.
