There's no bigger disparity in the NFL right now between upside and ADP than Hurst. Hurst is currently going outside the top-12 tight ends, but has a very good chance and path to finishing as a top-5 option at the end of the season. Hurst is a talented tight end who is finally going to be given an opportunity in Atlanta's dynamic offense. He's a home-run pick in the late rounds of your draft.

Hail to Fantasy Football
All the way up to my top-12. Matt Ryan throws to the tight end position. If Hurst can stay healthy, he could be a sneaky top-5 TE.Down slightly with the unknowns of a new team/coaching staff.

Former first round pick, missed opportunity in Baltimore, MAJOR upside in Atlanta. Hurst had 62 targets total in 2 years while playing for Baltimore, 43 catches, 512 yards, and 3 Touchdowns. Austin Hooper last year had 97 targets, 75 catches 787 yards and 6 touchdowns. The targets and opportunity are their in Atlanta for Hurst to crush. @NickSarnelli

FantasyPros
Hurst was a 1st round pick for the Ravens just three seasons ago but has been overshadowed by Mark Andrews. Apparently, the Falcons thought quite a bit about his upside as well, sacrificing a second-round pick for the tight end. We know Matt Ryan loved throwing to Austin Hooper and now with him, Devonta Freeman and Mohamed Sanu all gone, there are 200+ targets up for grabs. Hurst should see nearly 100 which could make him a TE1 by season's end.Prior to his injury, Hooper was the #1 fantasy tight end last year despite fighting for targets with Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu. So yes, he does come into another great receiving core but he still has plenty of upside if Cleveland is committed to getting targets his way.

ATL just traded a 2nd round pick for Hurst, knowing that he's been a poor blocker his first 2 years in the league. Below AVG on 389 RUNBLKs, and just 8 PASSBLKs to his name. His poor blocking is good news for how it appears they might plan on using him. Hooper was rarely blocking, and was in for twice the amount of pass snaps as Hurst last year.Targets to the Vikings TEs under Stefanski in 2019 - 95. Irv and Rudolph split those evenly. Targets to the TEs with Baker in 2019 - 59 between 3 guys. This might be a mess. Do we believe Hooper funnels al of those, how many does "those" mean? 60? 70? We know what the Vikings game plan was under Stefanski, run, run, run. And we know the offseason moves point towards trying to do the same thing here. For me, this worry is at least enough to knock Hooper down a few spots from his ADP and take his replacement in ATL, at his price, instead.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Opportunity means everything to a tight end and Hurst is going to walk into plenty of it. The Falcons have used their tight end quite heavily over the last couple years and they really didn't replace Mohamed Sanu. Instead of trying to re-sign Austin Hooper, they decided it'd be better to trade a second-round pick for Hurst, showing just how much they valued him. Don't think he's not talented just because he played behind Mark Andrews. He should see 80-plus targets in 2020 en route to a top-12 finish. When it comes to tight ends, it's all about targets. Going back to 2009, there have been just 11 tight ends who've finished top-10 without seeing a minimum of 80 targets, which might be difficult for Hooper to come by with his new team. Not only do they have Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb, and Kareem Hunt, but Hooper is now part of a crowded tight end room with David Njoku and Harrison Bryant (who they drafted in the fourth round). Kevin Stefanski's offense in Minnesota did run a lot of 2TE sets, but their top three tight ends combined for just 105 targets, and none had more than 48 targets.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Hooper had a big season with 787 yards receiving and 6 receiving touchdowns and he would have been even better if he had not missed 3 games and 6 starts due to injury. Hooper should be TE1 again in 2019, but it remains to been seen if he can thrive with his new home being Cleveland.
